In collaboration with its local partner (IEC), Unisearch has won a contract to train RTA’s senior managers (Dubai) to effectively manage their BIM-based projects. The focus was on bringing value to RTA through the digitisation of projects information throughout their life cycle.
Positive Feedback
Over 100 senior managers attended the three days training program (in three different groups) representing Design, Construction, FM and Contracts Departments. The contents covered the following topics:
- BIM principles and benefits to RTA
- Information management and delivery framework
- BIM standards
- Full project case study demonstration
Participants’ Responses
The feedback from candidates was extremely positive, see chart on the right. It clearly demonstrated that candidates have moved away from technology-focused thinking into the wider aspects of BIM benefits particularly that related to its impact on meeting the strategic objectives of RTA; cutting capital and operational expenditure, reducing project time and waste and improving quality.
